Going Green in the Crib plus Giveaway!

I’m a planner. Any one of my friends will tell you it’s all about the details for me. My husband — he’s a researcher. When it comes to buying ANYTHING, he’s read the consumer reports, Amazon reviews and knows the best price he can get. When we started planning our nursery, it was like, “Watch out salespeople… we are informed consumers!” Every major purchase was researched and one of biggest items we researched was how to prevent SIDS. So we researched mattresses, sheet sets and crib pads. Our little one would be right against these items every night and we wanted it to be safe and toxic-free.

One of the things we discovered is that many companies use formaldehyde in their cotton sheets to help prevent wrinkles…no thank you! Enter these amazing natural crib sheets from Panda Bear Linens we just discovered. We definitely will be using these for baby #2 someday and in the meantime, they are making their debut in Lily’s crib.

Bamboo crib sheet in Sage Green.

Panda Bear Linens are made of all-natural, eco-friendly bamboo AND feature no added chemicals or perfumes…something we are very interested in as we are sensitive to fragrance and use fragrance-free detergent as well. On top of that, bamboo linens are:

  • Hypo-allergenic
  • Odor resistant
  • Moisture wicking

Choose from Champagne Beige, Sky Blue or Sage Green. Pictured: Sage Green

PLUS bamboo linens are thermal regulating which means they adjust to baby’s temperature. It’s recommended to not use blankets for infants in the crib, and Lily HATED being in sleepsacks, so anything that will help keep my baby warm in winter, and nice and cool in hot, Florida summers is awesome in my book.

With three subtle colors: champagne beige, sky blue and sage green, there’s an option for  pretty much any nursery. The sage green works nicely with any Gator-themed room.

Check out their website for shams, coverlets, pillowcases, sheet sets, crib sheets and towels.

We washed and dried as instructed and the sheet came out super soft. It was deep enough to fit over our mattress and padded mattress pad.
