The (Gator) Writing on the Wall
If you’re looking for some whimsical Gator art to decorate your baby/child’s room, check out these fun ideas to bring a little bit of Gator Nation into their room. There are additional ideas on my Pinterest board too! What style do you prefer for your kid’s room? Vintage/handmade? Or using the licensed Gator head/logo?
Go Local
Support artists from Gainesville! Visit both the Gainesville annual Downtown Festival and Art Show held each fall or the Spring Arts Festival to find artwork by local vendors you could use in your child’s room. If you can’t make it to Gainesville, peruse the vendor lists on their websites and find their online shops to place an order. I personally love Gainesville Fruit Co.’s designs as their prints feature “Classic Gainesville with a Vintage Style.”
Creative Finds
A quick search on Etsy of “Gator Nursery Art” will return some great Gator pieces to accent your child’s room. These are some of my faves (more on Pinterest).

This awesome felt flower adds color, texture, and a 3D aspect to an otherwise bare wall. Bright, chevron patterns are a hot trend as well! Heck, I think I may get this for my room! By TheLeoandtheTaurus on Etsy

Decals are a great option if you are looking for decoration near or around the crib. For safety reasons, decals provide ease of mind as you don’t have to worry about a photo coming off a hook etc. Decal by wallinspired on Etsy
Mainstream
There are plenty of officially licensed, orange & blue Gator accessories out there to decorate your little tyke’s room. Do a search on Google, and you’ll find options at bedding.com, Amazon.com, the official Gator Sports Shop and more.
Get Creative
Can’t find what you want, or want to add a personal touch to your baby’s room? Make your own art! Whether you take a class at a studio, or pick up your own supplies, it’s always a nice touch to put “yourself” into art. Or, use this as a fun activity with your child!

My friend Karen painted this Gator Girl canvas for me as a shower gift. It matches Lily’s nursery perfectly.
Don’t forget you can also use photographs to decorate your little one’s walls. Stay tuned to my next post for an exciting new photo service that features some touches of orange and blue!
